England in New Zealand Test Series. 2nd Test New Zealand vs England played at at Basin Reserve, Wellington, on 13,14,15,16,17 March 2008 (5-day match).

With the help of Tim Ambrose superb innings of 97 runs not out,England manage to finish the Day 1 with 291/5. England batsmen looked in pretty much trouble in middle. With pitch helping bowlers New Zealand won the toss and elected to field first. England started with a good opening partnership of 79 runs. Cook and Vaughan both played sensibly and added 79 runs before Jacob Oram bowled Vaughan. Then England batsmen didn't able to make a good partnership and England started shacking at 136 for 5.But then Tim Ambrose with Collinngwood added a glorious and unbeaten 155 runs sixth wicket partnership and ended day 1 for 291 for 5.jacob Oram looked in great touch and took 2 wickets for 25 runs from 22 overs.
